Apprentice to Electrical Engineer with the National Coal Board from 1972, experience with telephones through to 20kV distribution within a deep sea coal mine. It was in it’s heyday the European record holder, therefore heavily automated, a great training ground.

Worked in Technical Sales and management for a premier Motor Control Gear specialist, selling hazardous area equipment, control gear, VSD’s and PLC’s at Parmley Graham Ltd.

Specialised on Fieldbus Systems from 1985 initially with Phoenix Contact Ltd on Interbus-S, -C (Bitbus), -P (PROFIBUS) and -R (optomux) then to date with WAGO Ltd.

Todate I am the Systems Manager at WAGO Ltd in Rugby
I am responsible for our range of electronic products, the largest portion being fieldbus for Industrial, Process Control and Building Services.
